2. How much does it cost to participate?
There is no charge to sell your items. The only cost would be what you spend on your materials to make your items.
3. What products are allowed?
Items can be food or craft but the kids must make or contribute to the making of the products. In order to increase variety and create a positive experience for the kids, duplicate items are discouraged. Please look at the current product list to see what has been already been registered before signing up.
3. How much can I spend to make my products?
There is no limit to how much you can spend or how many of your product you wish to make, but products can only be priced at $0.50 or $0.25. You will want to factor that in as you decide whether the item you wish to make will be profitable.
4. Why is there a price limit of $0.50?
We want the kids to feel successful. Keeping the price point of items low gives kids the opportunity to buy more with smaller budgets, which helps all kids be able to sell more.
5. My children are too young to make anything, or we didn't register in time. Can we still come?
YES. Every market needs shoppers. The Covington Park Kids Market is a perfect place to let your kids spend those quarters they have been saving this summer.
6. We don't know what to make. Where can we get ideas?
Our product ideas page has a list of products that were sold at a similar market in Texas in 2014. There is also some links to other websites with ideas. Pinterest is a great place to get ideas as well.
